JASON SCHMALL- Partner, Creative

Jason has spent his 20-year career developing campaigns that are not just iconic, but functional--building from solid strategic foundations to create and maintain message consistency no matter where or how that message is delivered. He brings the consumer perspective to brands big and small, ensuring that even the most complex product can be distilled into approachable messaging.  His work has won Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clios, D&AD Awards, Webby Awards, Art Director's Club Cubes and more. He is often described as rangy in a good way.

ANDREA HICKMAN - Managing Director

Andrea has experienced advertising from a variety of perspectives. She started her career in New York  at global advertising agencies, Publicis and McCann, in roles ranging from broadcast production to integrated strategy. Upon moving to the brand side, she led marketing development and innovation projects at Wendy's. Throughout her 12-year career, Andrea has prided herself on creating integrated advertising campaigns that provoke and persuade. At Kickdrum, her role is to make us all better at what we do. She also plays a mean cowbell.

KATE MCGUIRE - Creative, Art

Kate has more than a decade of art direction and design experience, including work with brands like P&G, Smucker’s, Formica, Sbarro and North High Brewing. At Kickdrum, we believe the success of a brand depends upon its ability to translate a vision into compelling communication. To that end, Kate brings an unmatched eye for detail and strong visual perspective to every assignment. Is she a font nerd? Yes. Is she obsessed with Pantone chips? Obviously. Does she somehow make everything she touches look amazing? Ohmigosh, you guys...

KERRY JAMES - Strategy

Kerry has more than 20 years of experience developing brands, with a focus on building strategic marketing plans that connect to effective digital platforms and CRM programs. She began her career on the agency side, driving P&G brands such as Tide and Pampers, then moved into a research role at Ipsos, finally becoming co-owner of a full-service marketing agency in Cincinnati. As part of Kickdrum, Kerry brings her expertise in data and strategy to synthesize insights into persuasive communication strategies. She declined to add a fun fact to her bio because in her words, "I'm not a fun person." She then laughed out loud at her own hilarious joke.
